“Food liking and consumption in schools: Comparison of questionnaire-based surveys with real consumption” is the title of our new scientific publication in “Food Quality and Preference”, published by Elsevier. The research project was led by the InDeRe Institute for Food System Research and Innovation and involved researchers from the University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In the study, which was published in a highly ranked journal in the field of food science, researchers investigated how well children’s opinions about the food they eat match their actions, i.e., whether they eat the food they say they like.These research results are of utmost importance for further research to reduce food waste.
